Design Challenge

Saturday, September 16, 2017, 10AM-3PM

A FREE event for teens to ask "what if...?" and collaborate with others to design solutions to real-life problems.

At this 1-day event, we will facilitate discovery, interpretation, and ideation using our proven improv exercises, group building techniques, and personalized scaffolding strategies.

Think: team building, ample whiteboards and sticky notes, modern co-working space, and lots of fun.

Teens can take their ideas to the next level by signing up for Dida's year-long programs, where they can practice experimentation and evolution of their concept and create a project that is personally interesting and meaningful to them.

Design your project, design your life.

This event is limited to 20 participants. Sign up early to reserve your spot!

Location: 639 Classon Avenue, Brooklyn, NY (Electropositive Coworking Space)

Teen Project Exhibition & Art Show

Wednesday, June 14, 2017, 6-9PM

Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our students at Dida Academy’s Teen Project Exhibition and Art Show! Our cohort of 5 students has spent the semester envisioning, developing, and completing meaningful projects of personal interest, including: female empowerment workshops, storytelling through fine art, and youth employment advocacy.

We will begin the evening with hors d'oeuvres and drinks as we view the gallery of artwork created by local NYC teens. Next, Dida’s 5 students will take the stage to present their passion projects, and our co-founders will announce Dida Academy’s programs for 2017-2018.

This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Please RSVP to by Monday, June 12.
